My role within the EPG focuses on ensuring that the group is functioning well, both administratively and operationally, and that we are meeting deadlines and deliverables set by our funders. Some of my main duties include acting as a conduit between the group, the Engineering Science administrative team, our project partners and our funders; purchasing for the group; identifying funding opportunities and assisting with grant applications; developing project plans and managing the finances of the group.
I graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2013 with a BA (Hons.) in English and I have worked for the University of Oxford since then, firstly as a Purchasing Assistant at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology and then as a Research Grants Assistant at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences before taking up my current role within the EPG in March 2015. Prior to attending University I worked as a Shop Manager for a craft beer shop and as a Purchasing and Transport Coordinator for an aggregate supply company. Alongside my role in the EPG I also freelance as a Social Media/Events Consultant for a pub/B&B and I am a co-founder/co-director of a small music festival. I spend most of my spare time reading and playing guitar and singing in three bands.
