Fei Gao



Dr. Fei Gao joined the Energy and Power Group in November 2016 as a postdoctoral researcher. He is mainly working on the EPSRC RHYTHM (Resilent Hybrid Technology for High-Value Microgrids) project.

He received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2010.  From Mar. 2010 to Sep. 2012, he worked in State Grid Corporation of China as an electrical engineer. With the full sponsorship (Dean of Engineering Research Scholarship for International Excellence), he obtained his Ph.D. degree in the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) Research Group from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, in 2016. 

Dr. Gao won the European Union Research & Innovation Clean Sky Best PhD Award (First Prize) in 2017. His current research interests include modelling, control, and stability in hybrid AC/DC microgrids and more electric transportation systems. A list of his publications is available at Google Scholar and ResearchGate.
