Cephas Samende received his B.Eng in Electrical Machines and Power Systems Engineering from the University of Zambia in 2014. He has sought practical experience in his field, including his employment at Rural Electrification Authority - Zambia, where he participated in supervision of the construction of medium voltage grid extension infrastructure and the installation of Solar Home Systems in the rural areas.
He joined the EPG as a Doctoral Researcher in October, 2016. His research interests include Modelling, Control and Operation of DC Microgrids with application to rural communities isolated from a utility distribution power network in the developing countries.
