I am a DPhil student in Engineering Science, and I joined the EPG in October 2014.
Prior to my position here I studied at Girton College, Cambridge, and received an MEng in Energy, Sustainability and the Environment in 2013. In my spare time I enjoyed supervising and participating in a society involved in technology transfer and international development in Latin America. Following this I worked for a year as a consulting engineer for a small innovative company working in the field of natural ventilation.
I am passionate about using engineering as a tool for development, and as such my project focuses on the development of energy systems for the developing world, supervised by Prof Malcolm McCulloch. I am looking at rural settings which have little existing energy infrastructure, and look forward to a practical project which will further my development as an engineer in this field.
