On 4 December, the ICERT team hosted a seminar at the Department for Transport (DfT) in London.

Justin Bishop and Martino Tran presented the OVEM+ model to invited guests from the DfT, Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OLEV), Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LCVP) and Transport for London (TfL).

Justin described the detailed work undertaken in the areas of driving cycle development and assessment of novel transport fuels. The Oxford Vehicle Model (OVEM) was introduced to the delegates and examples of its flexibility illustrated with references to the work undertaken by Reed Doucette, an alumnus of the EPG. Martino described the novel way in which vehicle attributes are combined with consumer preferences to yield realistic technology diffusion and vehicle fleet evolution. The presentation finished with a display of the OVEM+ user interface to allow easy interaction with the underlying model.

Questions were taken from the audience for an hour following the presentations, with a number of delegates expressing an interest to work with ICERT in future.
